Commutation tickets

Types

  1. (1)Commuter pass
  2. (2)Student commuter pass

Validity

One-month, three-month and six-month passes are available.

Date of issue

  1. (1)First-time purchases
    Up to fourteen days prior to start of use
  2. (2)Repeat purchases
    Up to fourteen days prior to the date of expiry
    Repeat purchases refer to purchases of replacement commutation tickets of the same ticket type, along the same section and using the same route.

Issuing stations

Commutation tickets are available for purchase from all Sotetsu stations.

Availability

Commutation tickets may be purchased during hours of service.

Refunds

  1. (1)The amount minus the cost of the commuter pass for the number of months used plus a handling charge of ¥220 will be refunded

  1. (2)In the event that a Commutation ticket is no longer required within seven days of the start of use, the amount to be refunded will be calculated as follows:

(3)Refunds made in respect of a change to the section covered by the commuter pass, and/or in the event that a lost Commutation ticket is found after its replacement has been purchased will be the amount minus the commuter pass fare in 10-day units plus the handling charge (any period of less than 10 days will be rounded up).

  3. (4)For refunds, please visit the ticket office at any of our issuing stations.

  4. Outbound

    Please purchase a regular ticket to a manned commutation ticket issuing station and present it to a station officer upon boarding. The station officer will endorse your ticket allowing you to claim a refund at the manned commutation ticket issuing station.

  5. Homebound

    Customers requiring a ticket for their home journey should submit a request once the refund and/or update has been processed at a manned commutation ticket issuing station. You will be given a receipt of purchase. If your homebound journey is covered by your updated commutation ticket you are requested to use your pass.
